Learn Egyptian Arabic – it3allam masri
Speak Egyptian Arabic from day one — no Arabic script required.
Forget dusty textbooks and endless grammar drills. This is Egyptian Arabic the way people actually speak it — in Cairo's cafés, in films, in the songs and series the whole Arab world watches.
Everything is written in the modern transcription you already know from social media — the same way Egyptians themselves text and type (yes, that's the it3allam in the title). So instead of spending months decoding a new alphabet, you start speaking from the very first page.
Inside you'll find:
- Real, everyday conversations — order food, haggle at the market, chat with friends, not "the pen is on the table"
- Colourful, fully illustrated pages that make learning feel light instead of heavy
- Practical, playful exercises that get the language into your mouth, not just your notebook
- Audio recordings by native speakers so you train your ear and your accent from day one
Built with the proven iMasterArabic method that has already helped over 2,000 students speak Arabic with confidence, this book takes you from your first words to real conversations — step by step, and with a lot more fun than you'd expect from a language course.
Start speaking the Arabic that 100+ million people speak — and the variety nearly every Arab understands.
About the author
Tato Martirossian is a self-confessed language freak and a passionate teacher. She studied Arabic and Linguistics at the universities of Leiden, Amsterdam and Utrecht, graduated with honours in Arabic Language and Culture, and spent two years living in Cairo, where she immersed herself completely in the spoken language of Egypt. Teaching since the age of fifteen, Tato has guided countless students — children and adults alike — through their Arabic learning journeys. In it3allam masri, she brings all of that together: academic depth, street-level Egyptian, and a teacher's instinct for making it stick.
