FAQ
We were not born yesterday :-) iMasterArabic was founded in 2003. So it’s quite old now unlike other online platforms.
Proven method: we have more than 20 years experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers and have developed our own methods and programs.
Our teachers are trained and certified by us. We regularly give them extra training and tools for teaching. They are passionate about teaching their language.
We care about our students’ progress and make it our mission to have them enjoy their lessons and love the language and culture they are learning.
Follow-up: we follow up on the student’s progress and give level assessment tests after completing each level.
Our materials are official, we have published 6 books in different languages for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
Good question!
It depends on your goals, why do you want to learn Arabic? No matter what your goals are, we have the right program for you:
- If it’s only to be able to read and understand the Quran, then we suggest our Quran and/or tajweed lessons.
- If your partner is from the Levant area (Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, North Jordan) and you would like to speak and understand his/her family members and travel to his/her country, then we suggest one of our group courses.
- If group courses are not for you because you have a very irregular schedule, then you can take private lessons Levantine Arabic via imasterlanguages.com.
- If your partner is from outside the Levant area, then we suggest private lessons. On our platform imasterlanguages.com we have teachers who teach: Egyptian, Moroccan, Syrian, Lebanese, Saudi, Iraqi Arabic and other Arabic dialects. Find the best teacher for you and book directly a free trial lesson with him/her on imasterlanguages.com.
- If your goal is to learn Arabic for your work, then contact us and we will advise you on the best program.

Absolute Beginners: you don’t know the Arabic alphabet, and you cannot speak at all.
Beginner (A1): you can read words written in Arabic, and very basic speaking skills.
Intermediate (A2): you have completed level A1 or it’s equivalent.
Advanced (B1 and B2): you have successfully completed level A2 or it’s equivalent.
Whether you're starting from scratch or aiming to refine your skills, we have a program tailored for you.
We teach Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) as a foundation and offer lessons in dialects such as:
Levantine
Moroccan
Egyptian
Syrian
Lebanese
Palestinian/Jordanian
Iraqi
Saudi
Emirati
In addition to language classes, we offer the following courses:
Business Arabic (upon request)
Quran lessons
Tajweed lessons
For our group courses, the focus is on speaking and understanding Levantine Arabic, as well as reading and comprehending MSA.
Additionally, private lessons cover a range of dialects like Egyptian, Iraqi, Palestinian, Saudi, and more. You can choose whether to focus on speaking, reading, or both.
It actually depends on YOU:
what is your current level
what level do you want to reach
how many days per week are you available to take a lesson
how much effort do you put into your homework
how much do you immerse yourself in the new language: listen to songs, watch programs, practice with others, travel to a country where this language is spoken.
Typically, to go up by one level you need at least 20 hours of private lessons.
We provide a free placement test to assess your level and recommend the most suitable course. If needed, you can also schedule an additional online assessment with our experts.
GROUP COURSES: if you miss a lesson, it’s not a disaster. However we strongly advise you to:
Let your instructor know that you won’t be attending.
Check your email the next day: after each group lesson, the teacher sends an email to all the participants in the course. In the email, there will be a recording of the session and the homework for next time.
Make sure you watch the recording and do the homework before the next session.
PRIVATE LESSONS:
No show: if you just don’t show up to a class (no show), then you lose this class and cannot make up for it later.
Cancel before 24 hours prior to class: no problem, you can cancel with your teacher and re-schedule.
Cancel within 24 hours prior to class: it’s up to your teacher. (S)He can decide if it’s ok and re-schedule or you lose this session.
You can still enrol for the course if:
During your holidays you have time to follow the classes and there is a good wifi connection in that country/region. You can then either follow live, or watch the recording of the session later.
You have time to do homework in addition to attending the class live or watching the recording.
Don’t enrol if:
During your holidays you don’t want to study and attend online classes.
You have time to watch the recordings but not do the homework.
